Laptop Battery Tips
- New apple M7318 batteries are shipped in a discharged condition and must be charged before use. We generally recommend an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours). Refer to the user's manual for charging instructions. Rechargeable apple M7318 batteries should be cycled - fully charged and then fully discharged - two to four times initially to allow them to reach their full capacity.
- Keep the apple M7318 battery contacts clean: Clean your battery’s metal contacts every couple of months with a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. This keeps the transfer of power from your battery more efficient.
- Take care of your apple M7318 battery - Exercise the Battery. Do not leave a charged battery dormant for long periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let a Li-On battery completely discharge. (Discharing is only for older batteries with memory effects).
- It is normal to get warm when charging or normal use the apple M7318 battery. If it is getting too hot, there may be a problem with the device and qualified personnel should check it.
- If you don't plan on using the replacement M7318 apple battery for a month or more, we recommend storing it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal object
